The NEBC

Nestled on 27 picturesque acres in the heart of the Midwest, the National Equine Behavior Center is the first of its kind in the United States. Its mission is to rehabilitate behaviorally challenged horses and to re-educate horse owners through a clear understanding of equine learning patterns, social behaviors, and nutritional needs.

HorseAt the NEBC we provide behavioral training, evaluation services, group and individual riding lessons, and provide training to those looking to have a career in the horse industry through an advance Behavioral Accreditation Program. The center consists of 20 cross fenced acres; a large facility equipped to handle multiple horses, indoor/outdoor riding facilities and dedicated staff that is proficient in handling even the most challenging horse.

Aside from offering training services for behaviorally challenged horses, the NEBC also provides a safe haven for abused and unwanted ex-racehorses. Prior to being accepted into the facility these horses are tested for health, soundness, temperament, and conformation. If accepted into the program, these horses are rehabilitated and offered for sale to qualified individuals who are willing to continue on with their rehabilitation process and their new vocations.
